Current Conducting

Tim is a busy Choral Director with a broad knowledge of the mainstream repertoire and a special interest in Tudor English Music and 20th Century American Music. He has directed Choirs in Holland, Canada, USA, and Norway, and also directs the The Heritage Singers a Leeds based chamber choir of some 24 singers who exist to preserve the Anglican Choral tradition. This choir has completed two USA Tours and also tours to Norway, Amsterdam and has recently returned from a highly successful visit to Budapest. The choir has released 5 CDs, spent 2006/7 on a UK Abbeys and Priories tour and will be spending 2007/8 on a Northern Saints, tour. 2009 sees this choir celebrate over 200 events.  See www.heritage.singers.20m.com

Tim also directs Vocalis  (previously Harrogate Chamber Singers) This is an enterprising choir whose repertoire is very wide, performing mainly in North Yorkshire and having completed a tour of Holland, 2006 sees them and in progress with a Bach Pilgrimage - taking Bach's Cantatas to Town Centre Yorkshire Churches in Harrogate, Wetherby and Ilkley. 2007 will see a year of celebrations of Mendelssohn and Gershwin and 2008 a Ralph Vaughan Williams Festival centered around Harrogate.

Tim is Director of Music at St. James' Church, Manston a large and busy parish Church in east Leeds where St James Choir continues to expand its horizons and repertoire providing the Liturgical Music for a full range of services.

Coming soon – a chance to sing in some fine venues with new opportunities open to all singers as Tim launches his series of workshops linked to concerts both around the UK and overseas, working with Tim, a wide range of not so familiar and downright rare repertoire will be looked at and then performed in fantastic venues, - if this appeals to you then email him to be added to the forthcoming mailing list!!
